3C16490 Baseline Switch 2226-PWR Plus. 24 ports 10 / 100BASE-T; 2 dual-purpose ports

HP Baseline 2226 PoE Switch (JE739A)

Features & Benefits

Low-Cost, Configurable, Power over Ethernet, 10/100 Switch for Convergence Applications

The 3ComĀ® Baseline Switch 2226-PWR Plus is the second member in the family of premium Baseline Plus switches that deliver enterprise-class solutions, customized and priced for small and mid-sized organizations. Full IEEE 802.3af-compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) support on all ports enable businesses to grow and expand both LAN and WLANs with a minimum network disruption and without the need for power cable runs.

The switch is designed to support emerging LAN, VoIP, IP telephony, WLAN convergence applications today. Choice of QoS traffic prioritization with automatic NBX voice traffic prioritization, make sure mission-critical and real-time applications run effectively enabling the switch to operate in larger networks. The switch supports up to 64 Virtual LAN (VLANs): VLANs group users based on data exchange requirements to ensure optimal use of available bandwidth. Traffic monitoring helps keep the network running at optimum performance even during busy traffic periods.Ā

Wirespeed, non-blocking Layer 2 throughput and a switching capacity of up to 8.8 Gbps can handle bandwidth-intensive applications.

Twenty-four 10/100 ports and two dual-purpose Gigabit SFP slots can be used for high-performance computers, as well as high-demand servers; copper and SFP fiber connections can be mixed together for versatile operation. Ports can be trunked/aggregated, to create an ultra-high bandwidth pipe to the network core.

A user-friendly browser interface enables even network novices to easily configure and administer the network. Auto MDI/MDIX and autosensing ports eliminates the most common cabling errors and simplifies installation, as well as detecting and adjusting the speed of connected devices to optimize network performance

The switch can operate as a free-standing or rack-mounted unit with included mounting kit. The standard 19-inch, one rack-unit-high (1 RU) enclosure optimizes valuable office space. Sturdy design and construction pays off in high reliability and long service life. Limited Lifetime hardware warranty and advance hardware replacement provide peace of mind long after deployment

All port support for Power over Ethernet as per IEEE 802.3af

Twenty-four 10/100 ports support high-speed connections for demanding desktop applications, servers, network aggregation, and uplinks to the network core

Two dual-purpose Gigabit ports support copper or multimode shortwave fiber (1000BASE-SX) or multimode longwave fiber (1000BASE-LX) connections

Link aggregation combines any number of ports of any media to create up to four ultra-high-speed trunks, with up to eight ports per trunk, substantially increasing bandwidth to the network backbone or other switches

VLANs (up to 64) enable administrators to group users based on data or traffic requirements to ensure that traffic flow is directed according to priority business needs

Traffic monitoring or port mirroring aids troubleshooting by enabling administrators to examine suspect data streams by mirroring the data stream received to a monitoring port

Automatic NBX traffic prioritization detects and prioritizes NBX traffic without user intervention

Choice of methods for traffic prioritization including standards-based IEEE 802.1p , MAC address based and Port based (two queues per port) traffic prioritization enable networks to effectively run real-time multimedia applications, reserving bandwidth for time-sensitive, mission-critical traffic

Intuitive web browser interface makes it easy to set up and administer the network

Power over Ethernet configuration options give flexibility to converged networks enabling, disabling or limiting power per unit and per port

Non-blocking performance operates at full wirespeed on all ports, delivering unimpeded access to network resources

One Rack Unit (1RU) form factor optimizes rack space
